So, maybe you've heard the latest "trend" of 3-5-7 free nail polish/lacquer, and you've got some questions. What does it really mean to be "free" and why is it so important, if at all? Well, before we decided to create this company, we dug up a lot of research, and determined it was imperative for M by Marlo products to be 5 free. Nontoxic or "Free" nail lacquers provide less harmful alternatives to traditional nail polishes.

3-Free nail polish/lacquers are free from the "toxic trio" of chemicals linked to cancer, asthma and birth defects which are DPB, formaldehyde, and toulene.

5-Free nail lacquers also do not contain those three ingredients, but in addition also tend to not contain Formaldehyde Resin or Camphor either (Camphor is actually a nasty that can cause your nails to yellow and dry out).

The toxic fumes from traditional nail polishes/lacquers are harmful to your health. 5 Free Nail Lacquers like M by Marlo are better, but one should still take precaution. Low in odor doesn't mean odorless. If you're going to a salon to have your nails polished with M by Marlo, ask for a more ventilated area. If you're doing your nails at home, ventilate the area with fans, and open windows. It is especially important to refrain from visiting nail salons while pregnant. People with health concerns should be limited in their exposure as well.

M by Marlo is a conscious company. We believe in truth in advertising and transparency in quality. We chose to produce quality, long-lasting products made in the USA.
