Is vegan the only way to go?

We hear a lot these days of the buzz word, "Vegan". Here at M by Marlo we have a collection of Vegan nail lacquers to choose from, but as we delve into our lip rouge, we decided to go with a line that contains beeswax. We wanted to choose lip rouge that would be very moisturizing, and wear well. Lets all face it, there is nothing worse than applying lipstick after every time you have a conversation, and if you're stuck in those instances without your purse, that's right, you're now subject to ashy lips. The worst! Praying to not send the wrong message to someone by continuously licking your lips, you count down the seconds till you're reunited with your purse so you can reapply.
Many women feel like they've got to apply a base coat of chapstick first to hydrate the lips, while others simply have a slight bulge in their pocket as they carry it around. We've all faced the hydration issues that some lipsticks create.
Beeswax is good for hydration of the lips but also has healing properties; like helping to prevent infections and cold sores. It also offers anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antiviral benefits making it helpful in treating skin irritation. Beeswax plays the role of an emollient (skin softening and/or soothing) and humectant (attracts water and helps to absorb it in the skin).
When we started this quest, we were into the hype of the word Vegan, as to relay a standard that people understood and count on for healthier living. Nontoxic and Vegan are mutually exclusive? Turns out, we're more interested in product demonstrative qualities rather than labels and titles.

So, then you may be asking, why is beeswax not vegan? The short answer is it comes from the bee insect and we've disturbed it. But if we are to decide our fate off disturbing, then how can we account for hundreds of thousands of years of life before synthetic fibers? Or now, how can we account for killing (cooking) plants? Pray I tell you, that life isn't about the label, but the quality the withstanding, and the measure (of a woman).
So, we part ways with our label of Luxury Vegan Beauty, as we can no longer tout this label, and we embrace Luxury Beauty Products. Quality, worthy of your money quality. Our line of Lip Rouge, though not vegan, are immaculate, quality and you'll love them forever. Nontoxic. Cruelty free. Luxury.
